WALES skills coach Scott Johnson has paid tribute to wing sensation Shane Williams, describing him as an "oddity" in world rugby.
Williams continues to impress, especially after his dazzling displays against England and Italy in this year's Six Nations Championships.
And Johnson feels that on current form there is no-one quite like the Neath/Swansea Ospreys star. He said: "Shane is an oddity in the game, he is separate from everyone else.
"The way we train people these days and a lot of humans are very similar it size and strength but he is unlike anything we have.
"The oddity comes in that he has wonderful feet and you can't train that - it is all natural and now he has strength which means that the half-chances he is turning into breaks is great for us.
"We take a few risks and that is the way we play and Shane adds to that."
Johnson knows that Wales will need all the attacking flair they can get in Paris against the French a week on Saturday against a defence he calls, 'one of the best in the world.'
He said: "The pressure is off France. For them the big game was Twickenham and now they are on a roll.
"The French and England are probably the best two defensive sides in the world and in Serge Betsen they have a wonderful openside flanker, he is a quality player and in general they are natural athletes.
"They will have to get the basics right but they may feel that they can play a little, but they better not underestimate us."
Williams is revelling in the renewed optimism in the Welsh camp but is refusing to get carried away. He said: "There is a real sense of momentum in the squad, we've played two and won two and also played well in the Autumn and everyone is confident.
"We are enjoying it at the moment and we've got the ball rolling and we need to keep it up and with the spirit and the confidence in the camp I don't see why we can't.
He added: "Winning the championship is a topic that is banned in the camp to be honest. It is too early to be talking about that.
"We have three big games left and it is such a tight tournament this year that we cannot make the mistake of looking too far ahead because we know how tough those games are going to be.
"It is always there in the back of your mind but it is going to have to stay there to be honest.
"There is a real belief in this squad and it is nice to be part of. I've certainly never been involved with a squad that feels like this."
