France have recalled number eight Imanol Harinordoquy and centre Yannick Jauzion among four changes to their squad to face Wales on February 26.
Harinordoquy replaces Sebastien Chabal, who is left out of the 22, as is full-back Pepito Elhorga. Jauzion, who has recovered from injury, replaces Brian Liebenberg, dropped after a poor game against England.
Wing Aurelien Rougerie returns for the injured Jimmy Marlu, while Julien Laharrague is also added.
Coach Bernard Laporte said: "Even though we won at Twickenham we think there were a lot of bad points. "Of course, it's cruel to drop players after a win over England, but if we want to rebuild a team for the 2007 World Cup now is the time to test new players."
Team manager Jo Maso said: "The last two games confirmed that Chabal had potential, but we think that his future at international level is in the second row rather than the back row.
"Marlu suffered a knee injury against England and we felt that Liebenberg was a bit shy and should give more to the team.
"It's the same thing for Pepito Elhorga who was given a chance to prove his worth at full back but lacked ambition against England.
"We hope that Julien Laharrague will bring more speed to our backline."
French scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili, who kicked his side to glory against England on Sunday, added:"It is very tight. Wales and Ireland are the best ever.
"We have to take care in two weeks in Paris against Wales because it will be a very big match.
"We have not played very well but we have won the two matches. I would be happy to play this way through the tournament."
Italy's livewire number eight Sergio Parisse was today cited by the independent match commissioner after clashing with Wales fly-half Stephen Jones in Saturday RBS 6 Nations match in Rome.
Parisse has been cited under law 10.4, which states a player must not "stamp or trample" on an opponent and he will face a disciplinary committee tomorrow.
The same committee will also hear the case of the Ireland under-21 scrum half Cillan Willis following his red card against Scotland Under-21s.
