INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the death of a Gwent teenager. Police say the 18-year-old, from Blaenavon, died a few days after he was assaulted in Cwmbran bus station, and they are renewing their appeal for witnesses to that incident.
Officers have not ruled out a link between the assault and his death. It is understood the victim had no apparent injuries after the assault, which happened on Friday, February 4, and caught a bus to Blaenavon shortly after.
Police believe he was in the Square Inn pub before the incident, and left about 9.30pm.
He died on Wednesday, February 9, in Nevill Hall Hospital, after falling ill the previous evening, according to police.
Anyone with information should call Cwmbran police station on 01633 838111, or Crimestoppers on 08500 555111.
