DOZENS of men and women clad in underwear will be seen striding through the Valleys this summer.
A 13-mile sponsored walk is being organised by Nantyglo woman Tracey Finch, to raise money for research into breast, testicular and prostate cancers.
To raise awareness of the diseases women are being asked to join the walk from the Welfare Park, Brynmawr, in their bras - while men can wear their underpants over their trousers.
Mrs Finch, 41, said: "Men think they are supermen anyway - now they have the chance to dress like him!"
She came up with the idea after taking part in the Moon Walk in London last year - an event that sees thousands of women walk in their bras through the capital at night to raise money for breast cancer research.
All the money from the Brynmawr walk raised will be split equally between the breast cancer unit at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, and the Orchid Trust and the Bob Champion Trust, which both
deal with prostate and testicular cancer. The walk is at 1pm on June 11.
Entrants are being asked to raise a minimum of 50 in sponsorship money.
