A CWMBRAN mother who has had cancer operations cancelled hopes the chaos at the Royal Gwent won't mean her operation will be further postponed.
Cherie Le Rue, of Oakfield, was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus last June and should have had an operation to remove her oesophagus today.
But on Friday she was told that there was no bed for her in intensive care.
The same happened last month when Mrs Le Rue, 48, had built herself up for her operation to be told three days before going into the hospital it was cancelled.
She said: "I feel like I am living in limbo just playing the waiting game."
Last week we reported on Sandra Lowe, also waiting to have her oesophagus removed, who had her life-saving surgery cancelled twice - including when she was on the trolley about to leave for theatre.
Mrs Le Rue said: "Having an operation that is so important cancelled is torture."
A spokesman for the Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust said Mrs Lowe was still scheduled to have her operation today.
