THE SUBLIME waltzes and polkas of Johann Strauss are back by popular demand at Cardiff's St David's Hall.
The Johann Strauss Gala returns on Sunday, February 6, at 7.30pm to belatedly welcome the new year.
The concert is directed from the violin in the traditional Viennese style by Christopher Warren-Green, who will be joined by the Johann Strauss Orchestra, soprano Ana James and the Johann Strauss Dancers in period costumes.
The programme includes best-loved works such as Thunder and Lightning Polka, Die Fledermaus Overture, Morning Papers Waltz, Tritsch Tratsch Polka, Pizzicato Polka, Emperor Waltz, the Radetzky March and, of course, the Blue Danube Waltz.
