GWENT women who fancy shaking their funky stuff like J-Lo, Beyonce and Kylie can learn the latest dance moves at a new class in Cwmbran.
The pop music dance class, run by Street Dancing, is, say the school, the first of its kind - targeting women - in Gwent.
Dance teacher Amanda Ellis is leading the new class, and said picking up the latest moves is not as hard as people think.
"It is going to be a fun challenge that is all about getting fit," said Amanda, 35, of Southville, Cwmbran.
"A lot of women see people like Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce and wish they could dance like they do in their videos. My friends have asked me 'why can't I do that?' And I say 'well you can, there's nothing stopping you.'
"It's quite easy to learn the basic moves and progress from there."
The class is aimed at women in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
"I want to tell women it's not just the kids who can dance. Women like Kylie and J-Lo perform all the moves and they are both in their thirties. Madonna is in her forties now and she can still dance," Amanda said.
Amanda has run Street Dancing in Cwmbran for more than eight years, and teaches various styles of dance. She used to be a professional dancer and has always been interested in pop and street dancing.
Amanda will run the classes along with two other dance teachers, 19-year-old Kirsty Mackenzie and Rhian Evans, 23.
She said: "We really want this to take off because it is something new for us. You would have to go to London to find something similar."
The classes start on Monday February 21 and run every week at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Hall in Southville, from 8-9pm, priced £3.50 each.
