RED Dragon FM has announced that this year's glittering Welsh Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 3, at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
It is the seventh event of its kind, and this year guests from the worlds of music and sport, as well as community heroes, will enjoy the ceremony, which will feature performances from top chart acts.
As always, the event, which raises money for Red Dragon FM's own charity, Help A South Wales Child, is guaranteed to attract a host of celebrity guests.
Although the format has slightly changed from previous years, it is still the people of South Wales who will be making all the important voting decisions. For 2005 Red Dragon FM is placing even more emphasis on those awards which honour members of the local community for individual achievements and, once again it is asking Argus readers to vote for those they think are worthy of recognition.
It could be somebody who has shown particular bravery to overcome a difficult situation or illness, a charity worker who works tirelessly to raise funds for good causes, or maybe a neighbour you know you can always rely on.
It really doesn't matter as long as you think they deserve a Community Award for their good work.
The winners, plus guests, will all be invited to attend the star-studded ceremony and each will be invited onto the stage to accept their prestigious award.
Red Dragon FM marketing manager Kath Snell said the radio station was delighted to be able to recognise local people in this way.
All you have to do to make sure your chosen individual is in with a chance of being honoured at the Welsh Awards is to write to: Welsh Awards entries, c/o Kath Snell, Red Dragon FM, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff, CF10 1DJ.
You must include the person's name, age, address and contact number and details of their good work. Also include your own name, address and contact number.
Entries must be received no later than February 11.
