It looks as though the long anticipated fight between WBU and WBO world cruiserweight kings Enzo Maccarinelli and Johnny Nelson is going to come off this year and I must admit I can't wait.
It's a fight I think will capture the imagination of the boxing public and one I would love to see and I honestly believe 'Macca' has a great chance.
I thought his victory in Bridgend last week against Rich LaMontagne was perhaps his most impressive to date.
The American had only been stopped once before in his career and had fought some good guys but he was taken out impressively and 'Macca' deserves a chance at Nelson.
I know he has not fought anybody in the world's top ten and Nelson is regarded as one of the best champions and that the fight would be a big step up for him, but I think it is a natural.
'Macca' has tremendous punching power and is capable of taking out anyone if he catches them right.
He's also getting better and better while Johnny is getting older and may not have the appetite any longer for a really tough, bruising battle. But that is one of the questions we will get an answer to.
And though Johnny is a terrific boxer, people mustn't forget he can also punch.
He knocked out Carl Thompson and we all know what Thompson did to David Haye.
So I think it has the making of a great championship fight and with both boxers in the Frank Warren camp there's nothing in the way of politics to stop it happening.
Big talking points this week have surrounded the news that two of Britain's best known past world champions might be returning to the ring.
Lennox Lewis has since denied he would be taking up a £21m offer to fight current world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and I hope he's true to his word.
That is an awful lot of money and is very tempting but Lewis doesn't need it as he is one of the richest men in Britain and has made an awful lot more than that.
He did the sensible thing and got out at the top and being an intelligent man he knows he won't be able to get back to his best.
Lewis has left behind a great boxing legacy and I hope he doesn't do what another former champion, Evander Holyfield, has done.
He has destroyed his legacy by returning and losing to fighters who wouldn't have been fit to be his sparring partners in the past.
Lewis isn't that daft.
As for Naseem Hamed, his bubble burst a long time ago and he's been out of the ring a long time.
I don't think he has any serious ambitions to regain a world title and I don't think he will want to take on the best. He didn't want that even when he was champion.
I guess he may be matched against some fall over guy in the Middle East where his background makes him popular and where he could maybe earn some easy money.
As for me, I'm back training hard after my injury setback and the theft of equipment from my Cwmcarn gym.
The equipment has now been replaced and though it is not the same as training with gear you are used to, it isn't a great handicap.
I expect to be fighting again in seven or eight weeks in defence of my WBO world super-middleweight crown and, as I said before, I expect it to be a standard defence.
Frank Warren has confirmed he is talking to WBA holder Mikkel Kessler's camp but I don't know if that fight will come off later in the year or not. As I said last week, it all depends on the money.
I still want to go up and fight at light-heavyweight and Glen Johnson remains my target, though it now seems likely he will fight a rematch against Antonio Tarver in March or April.
That was always on the cards after the closeness of their first fight and if Johnson wins again I think I have a great chance of meeting him.
If Tarver wins, who knows, but in boxing you never know what's around the corner.
Finally, Scott Harrison defends his WBO world featherweight title against Colombian Victor Polo at the Braehead Arena, Glasgow, tonight with Polo saying he'll KO Harrison and lift the crown at his fourth attempt.
I don't think so.
There's no chance Warren would have matched Harrison against Polo if he thought for one minute the South American could win. He has bigger plans in store for the Glasgow fighter.
