A large void in the market has been filled by new golf travel brand Golf Groups Direct who launched their 2005/06 brochure in December. It is aimed specifically at groups of golfers.
The company is offering a Lowest Price Guarantee for groups of 8 or more to various destinations worldwide including new "Play & Party" options in Prague and Las Vegas.
This new concept in golf travel comes to the rescue of golf group leaders as the specific needs of this sector have been considered at every stage of the buying, booking and travel process. The whole group benefits as the low prices and discounts of up to 50% on green fees are available to all members of the party, not just for the group leasers as with other operators. Prices start from as little as £135 based on 3 nights B&B at the 2* Red Fox Hotel in Le Touquet, 2 rounds of golf and return Eurotunnel based on 4 sharing a care, valid for travel 1st January 2005 to 28th February 2006.
The Golf Groups Direct brochure is a new initiative by specialist Serenity Golf and is the only one in the market dedicated entirely to golf group travel worldwide. Destinations offered include old favourites Portugal, Spain and Myrtle Beach as well as new options in France, Turkey, Dubai, South Africa and Italy. To take advantage of the best value deals, bookings should be made 90 days prior to departure. Furthermore, the new brochure allows groups to book right through to the end of March 2006. For smaller parties of golfers Serenity Golf has frozen prices for 2005.
As an added bonus, group leaders confirming a booking before the end of April 2005 will be entered into a draw to win a place in the Golf Groups Direct Overseas Tournament, taking place in Portugal next November. There are 12 places to be won and flights, accommodation at the 5* Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort and golf will be included.
