FAMILY and friends yesterday said their final farewells to the tragic Newport mum found dead in a burnt-out car.
More than 200 people gathered at the Jamia mosque in Pill to say goodbye to 37-year-old Mussarat Nazir, of Maesglas Crescent.
The body of Ms Nazir, known as "Nunnie", was found in a car in a private lane in Duffryn in December.
Yesterday tears were shed as Ms Nazir's coffin, draped with an Islamic cloth, was carried from the mosque.
Bouquets in memory of the former Llanwern steelworks secretary paid tribute to the mother of three.
One read: "Nunnie. You will never be forgotten. Always in our hearts and minds. Love you, rest in peace, from your sis Yasmin."
Among the mourners were Ms Nazir's husband, Jason Reynolds, and her mother, Nazir Akhtar.
Ms Nazir leaves three children, Khalis, four, Amriah, three, and Khalim, two, who are being looked after by family.
Last week Ms Nazir's family spoke exclusively to the Argus about their loss.
Husband Jason Reynolds said: "She was a great wife and mother, loving, friendly and kind-hearted. We all miss her."
