YOU'VE taken the Sparkle Appeal to your hearts.
The bid to raise £250,000 towards a £6m children's centre for disabled children is proving so popular with local people that more fundraising packs are needed.
The Argus launched the appeal in December, to help the South Gwent Children Foundation build and equip a centre for disabled children in South Gwent.
Since then schools have raised money and local people have given their support to the campaign.
Alison Evans, project support manager, said: "We are having more fundraising packs printed because we have run out.
"We have people on a list to send out new packs to them as soon as they come in, which is a great sign.
"We have had a steady response and are receiving a couple of cheques a day for the appeal.
"Cheques are coming in for £20 and £25 but it doesn't matter how much it is - it all helps."
Alison said the Argus appeal was starting to make a difference in raising money and support but she added that fundraising and support was always needed for the campaign.
