TICKETS for the Tsunami Relief Concert, which is to bring together some of the biggest names in pop, have sold out.
Organisers said most of the phonelines were engaged yesterday with people eager to get their piece of history and help raise vital funds.
The sell-out came after Gwent's own rock stars, the Manic Street Preachers were confirmed as one of the acts with Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy and Embrace.
They join a high-profile line-up on with the 65,000 capacity sold out.
They will play at Cardiff Millennium Stadium on Saturday, January 22, in the'Live Aid-style' event that aims to raise 1million for the victims and survivors of the Asian tsunami disaster which left more than 150,000 people dead.
Musical legend Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, Gwent band Feeder, Lemar and Welsh singers Katherine Jenkins and Aled Jones will also be performing.
Simon Betts, 21, from Ebbw Vale, said he wanted to give to the relief effort and that acts like Badly Drawn Boy were an added bonus.
He said: "I think this is a brilliant way of raising vital money for the tsunami disaster and it's really good that 65,000 people have bought tickets."
