VISITORS to the Holiday and Travel Show, Cardiff, in February, can sign up for an exclusive IMAX cinema experience of the world's greatest natural attraction.
The Arizona Office of Tourism's roadshow is touring six major cities in the UK with a special film of the Grand Canyon. Visitors to the travel event in Wales will get an opportunity to register for free tickets to the screening at Bristol's IMAX cinema in April.
The south western state will be one of scores of exhibitors representing more than 100 different countries at the Holiday and Travel Show, which takes place at the CIA from February 18 to 20.
The IMAX film Grand Canyon: Hidden Secrets is 35 minutes of history, exploration and breathtaking features. The unique beauty spot is an incredible 227 miles long and is one mile deep, with the maximum width from rim to rim an impressive 18 miles. UK manager of tourism marketing for the Arizona Office of Tourism, Dan Canham, said: "Local schools and the public will be given the opportunity to view the film during the day, while local trade representatives and media can attend evening VIP receptions and viewings.
"In total, up to 8,000 people will have the chance to view the film over the course of the three-week roadshow." Exhibitors at the Holiday and Travel Show range from tour operators and travel agents to airlines, tourist information organisations and places of interest, representing more than 100 countries.
Admission costs £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and £20 for a family ticket covering two adults and up to three children.
