THE new Toledo, the second model in the new generation of Seat cars after Altea, goes on UK sale on January 7, 2005, with prices starting at £13,350 for the Toledo 1.6 Reference. Its size, features and versatility mean the Toledo is first and foremost a family car. It has the look of a large saloon car, generous interior space, a large capacity boot with a practical rear hatch and responds perfectly to the current trends and requirements of car buyers in this class.

With a length of 4458mm and a width of 1768mm, it offers more interior space than some longer vehicles thanks to its single space design and its height of 1568mm. It also boasts a luggage compartment with a 500 litre capacity. What makes the new Toledo stand out visually is its innovative and attractive design and, in particular, the rear hatch. The large front grille, expressive headlights and the dynamic line running over the front wheel arch, along the doors to the rear wheel, clearly mark it out as a Seat.

The Toledo is available with four engines, two petrol - 2.0-litre FSI 150 PS and 1.6-litre 102 PS - and two diesel - 2.0-litre TDI PD 140 PS and 1.9-litre TDI PD 105 PS. The two most powerful engines - the 2.0-litre FSI and TDI - are both coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.
