POLICE investigating a serious sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl on New Year's Eve, in the Coed Eva area of Cwmbran, are still trying to trace the victim's jacket.
The attack is alleged to have happened at about 7pm on the canal bank near the Mill Tavern, Garth Road area.
Officers are looking for the victim's coat, which is described as being black, nylon, hooded and of waist length.
The attacker is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, tall, average build, white, and wearing a light coloured jacket and cap.
Inspector Allyn Richards said: "We would advise women and parents of young girls in the area to be extra cautious until this man is caught."
