A SUPERB second-half display at a wet and windy Stebonheath Park earned the Crows a thoroughly deserved, fourth successive Welsh Premier League win at the west Wales venue.
Although striker Andy Mainwaring fired against the crossbar shortly before the interval, there was no hint of what lay ahead for the home side who started on a high following their recent 5-1 home demolition of Euro-chasing Bangor City.
However, from the moment Mainwaring opened the scoring with a poacher's effort from inside the six-yard box, there was only going to be one outcome.
Indeed Cwmbran should have scored on at least another five occasions after the break as Llanelli failed to repeat the form which helped them shade matters in the first half.
There were times in the period that the Reds simply passed their way through Cwmbran's rearguard in a fine display of attacking football.
Cwmbran, too, had their moments in the opening 45 minutes but with neither side managing to turn decent possession in to goals, parity reigned at the interval.
The Gwent side, though, began the second period in a much more positive manner and after Mainwaring had opened the scoring, co-striker Jason Welsh hit a quick-fire double to take his season's league tally to eight.
Cwmbran continued their domination by missing several guilt-edged chances and at that stage, the result looked likely to emulate the outcome of the Crows' last three visits to Llanelli - a 3-0 victory.
However, Academy teenager Keiron Porter came off the substitute's bench to head the fourth to wrap up Cwmbran's sixth away win of the season.
The success moves Cwmbran to ninth place and the challenge now is to make a surge towards European qualification.
Whether Cwmbran are good enough to do that will probably be decided in their next two games, both at home, against champions Rhyl, who are second, on Saturday and third-placed Caersws the following week.
l Cwmbran are hoping to gain international clearance to have former winger Jamie Edwards available for Saturday's visit of champions Rhyl.
The 21-year-old former Newtown player has re-signed for the Crows after returning from a ten-month stint playing and coaching in Australia.
l Cwmbran have also signed young rigbt back Kevin Davies, who has been on the books of Coca Cola League Two outfit Swansea City.
