A YOUTH rugby team went beyond the pain barrier to raise money for a forthcoming tour to Ireland.
The entire squad of Blackwood Under-14s had their legs waxed in a bid to generate the £3,000 needed to fund their trip to Galway.
Players have also bag-packed at local supermarkets and are planning a sponsored pool marathon to raise the cash.
Membership secretary Jill Jones said: "Even though the players are only 14 some of them are really hairy, and were quite worried about it."
