IT'S August, so you're going to have to roam a little further for your fix of decent rock. Been to Bath recently?
Tokyo lo-fi surf rock trio 5, 6, 7, 8s (why don't bands like this ever come to Wales?) are playing the Moles Club on Sunday, August 15.
They're the band responsible for one of this year's Glastonbury's anthems: Woo Hoo (on Sweet Nothing).
They're now pushing a new single, I'm Blue, for release on Monday, September 6, and a new album, Teenage Mojo Workout, on Monday, September 20, both on Sweet Nothing Records.
Once you've heard them you can't resist the garage punk madness of Yoshiko Fujiyama, (guitar/vocals), Yoshiko Yamaguchi (bass) and Sachiko Fujiyama (Drums).
Quentin Tarantino picked them to appear in Kill Bill films, while Carling used Woo Hoo in their latest TV ads.
Teenage Mojo Workout captures perfectly the trio's trademark sound of breezy surf stomp garage rock, as you could hear this weekend.
