IT is coming towards the end of the summer holidays and the Newport Centre's autumn season of events kicks in very shortly.
The month of September sees sporting events taking centre stage with the first being boxing; where Enzo Maccarinelli will be returning to the centre to entertain audiences once again.
This is followed by the TV programme Robot Wars, where there will be a different kind of fighting in the ring. Finally, ending the run of sporting events is the UK Open Darts.
The subsequent months will see different bands perform to the crowds, some appearing for their first time at the Newport Centre and others making welcome returns. McFly have included a date at the venue on their debut tour and Whitesnake are returning for the third time on their 'Live...In the Still of The Night Tour'.
In November there is a mixture of events. Peter Karrie will perform his repertoire of songs from the West End stage; Motorhead will then take to the stage for the sixth time on their 'Tour Through Time'.
Ending the autumn events will be Newport Centre regular comedian Chubby Brown. For tickets for these events please call the box office on (01633) 656757.
