ABOUT 1,500 motorbike riders took part in this year's Hoggin of the Bridge charity event across the Severn Bridge.
Gwent's only in-patient hospice, St Anne's, will be one of the charities to benefit from the annual motorbike fest.
Among the 1,500 riders was the Rat Trike group from Blackwood.
Group members Ben Thomas and Malcolm Humphries enjoyed the day and said it was an excellent turnout.
Members of the public watched the bikers who left Aust Services, via the M4 to Magor, over the new Severn Crossing and Avon Bridge to Ashton Court, Bristol, throughout yesterday morning.
