CHILDREN at St Patrick's Roman Catholic School in Newport transformed into their favourite film and book characters.
The school was full of colour when pupils wore fancy dress.
Characters from Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and the Gingerbread Man were spotted including year five pupil Lowri Boswell, who wore a basket on her head and dressed up as the character Handa from the book Handa's Surprise.
