SINCE the release of his debut album Waltz Of A Ghetto Fly on Genuine this year, Amp Fiddler's profile has continued to expand.
His new brand of soul music has been going down well especially in Bristol where he plays Fiddlers again on Wednesday, October 20.
On slow-burners like I Believe in You and Dreamin' he could be a higher-pitched Isaac Hayes, and on more danceable moments like Superficial he's Sly Stone in a new light.
Possibilities will keep the R'n'B crowds happy with its booty swing and nicely rounded bass.
And You Played Me is so 'brown shades' it could've been ripped from a forgotten Blaxploitation soundtrack but, and you'd better believe it, it's all real - all 21st century.
