THIS is the man police want to question following the alleged rape and abduction of a 15-year-old girl.

The teenage girl said she was abducted in Cardiff and taken to a flat in Edison Ridge, Malpas, Newport, where she was kept against her will and raped repeatedly.

Police want to speak to Micam Roland Williams, 32, from Newport, in connection with the incident, and are warning that he may pose a danger to young women and have taken the unusual step of issuing his picture.

The alleged incident happened at around 10pm on Monday, September 27. The alleged victim was abducted from Janet Street, Splott, Cardiff. She was dragged into the back seat of a black Rover car, she said, and driven to a flat in Edison Ridge, Malpas, Newport.

Police say the girl was detained at the flat overnight, where she was raped several times.

She eventually managed to escape at around 2pm the following day. Mr Williams is described as Afro Caribbean, of medium build, 5ft 11in tall, with short hair and a goatee beard.

Police have recovered a black Rover car belonging to Mr Williams in Bacon Street, but are appealing to anyone who saw anything at all in the Janet Street, Cardiff, or Malpas areas to come forward.

Detective Superintendent Kevin O'Neill said: "This is a shocking incident. A vulnerable girl has been the victim of an horrific attack.

"This man may pose a danger to other young women and we need to know his whereabouts.

"Anyone who knows where he is should not approach him, but contact police, confidentially if necessary, with the information."

Police believe Mr Williams may still be in the Newport area, and anyone with any information is asked to contact detectives on 02920 527420 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
