SEVEN firefighters will prove they really are hot stuff when they peel off their uniforms and bare all for charity.
The lads will get pulses racing when they perform the Full Monty at the NCLA in Newport on October 15.
Leading the way is testicular cancer survivor Rick Evans who is braving the stage with his colleagues in front of a 700-strong audience in a bid to raise £5,000 for St David's Foundation Hospice Care.
"I wanted to show people that there can be life after cancer," said Rick, of Portskewett, who is based at Malpas Fire Station.
"But I'm very aware that there are many people who aren't as fortunate as me - and for them St David's Foundation provides an exceptional service, which I'm delighted to support."
He added that he had received a great deal of support, not only from St David's, but also from the fire station, community and the six colleagues daring enough to join him on stage.
Since his recovery from cancer last year, Rick has taken part in a number of fundraising events for St David's Foundation, including a two-mile fun run in Newport earlier this month.
Vicki Morrey, chief executive at St David's Foundation Hospice Care, described Rick as a "real inspiration".
"At St David's, 80 per cent of our funds come from events like this - those organised and supported by the local community. We rely on the generosity and kindness of our supporters and we would like to extend our thanks to Rick, the Full Monty firefighters and everyone at Malpas Fire Station for their unwavering support in helping us to continue our work in the community.
Tickets are sure to sell like hot cakes for the Full Monty which is supported by Welch of Newport and local group The Elastic Band are joining the firefighters on the night which begins at 7.30pm.
