NEWPORT Gwent Dragons will wait for the result of fitness tests and Welsh Premier League games tonight before finalising their side to face Irish aces Leinster in Friday night's Celtic League clash at Rodney Parade.
Skipper Jason Forster, Chris Anthony, Ross Beattie and Richard Bryan have all been injured while some players are involved in premier division games tonight.
Forster missed the Glasgow game with a head injury after being short armed by Scott Quinnell against Llanelli Scarlets almost a fortnight ago, Anthony has missed the last two matches with a rib injury, Beattie hasn't played at all this season partly because of a knee strain and Bryan suffered a gashed calf and a knee injury against Glasgow.
The only definite absentee is Hal Luscombe, out with a damaged shoulder suffered in injury time at Hughenden though there are hopes that the injury is not quite as bad as initially feared.
Coach Chris Anderson will be at Bedwas tonight where outside half Craig Warlow and Beattie are playing to get some rugby under their belts against Llanharan.
Anderson will also take in the intensity of the Zurich Premiership with a view to next month's Heineken Cup when he watches the West country battle between Bath and Gloucester at the weekend.
"We want to see how the players who have been injured and training with Wales this week react after training today and how Ross and Craig who haven't played in the first three Celtic League games come through," said team manager Jim McCreedy.
"The squad are under no illusion that if they are not selected they can expect to get rugby, and the clubs are helping."
