NEWPORT'S very own hip-hop heroes Goldie Lookin' Chain (pictured) are set to perform an intimate gig in Gwent as a warm-up to their UK tour.
The foul-mouthed rappers have already sold out many of the 20 dates on their whistlestop tour of Britain, including their performance at Cardiff University on October 4.
Ticket-less fans in South Wales have another bite at the cherry, however, as the group has just announced it will be playing the tiny 750-capacity Abertillery Arena on October 1.
Meanwhile, more than 25,000 copies of their debut album Greatest Hits have flown off the shelves of record stores this week which places them at No 5 in the mid-week album charts.
The full chart is revealed tomorrow.
GLC have already scored a top-three single hit this year with Guns Don't Kill People, Rappers Do, and have earned rave reviews in the music press.
Tickets for the concert in Abertillery cost £10 and are available by phoning 0115 9129000.
