With the fashion industry notoriously obsessed by youth, it is great to see the autumn and winter ranges this year being dominated by grown up style. Lisa Stevens takes a look.
THE new season's staples of tweed, which is appearing in all forms from classic tailored jackets to sharp pencil skirts, and luxurious knitwear means those of us past the first flush of youth will have much to choose from.
Marks and Spencer has picked up the hottest trends from the catwalk to create an affordable and very wearable collection.
Highlights of the new Limited Collection (now available in the Cardiff store) include gorgeous cashmere, mohair and angora knitwear from the finest knitwear ideal for under suits, to chunky sweaters for those colder days and evenings.
M&S has also picked up on the trend this season for tweed, tweed and more tweed and leather in both the Limited Collection and its general collection.
Although we have left the summer behind the racks are full of glorious colours from the deepest burgundies to old gold, honey yellows and orange.
The key colour this autumn is green with myriad shades available across most High Street stores from the palest lettuce greens to aquamarine.
There is also an emphasis on print - big, bold patterns which will immediately update any outfit.
* Prime Time would like to thank M&S in Newport for providing some of the clothes and models.
