HUNDREDS of people attended Undy Fun Day to help support the Argus Sparkle Appeal.
The day was packed with face painting, entertainment, games and traditional fair amusements.
More than 500 people packed Undy football fields and raised more than £3,000, which will now be split between our Sparkle Appeal and Velindre Hospital, Cardiff.
Martyn Probert, organiser of the fun day, said: "It was an excellent day and everybody enjoyed themselves."
Mr Probert, who had his chest waxed to raise more money, added: "Everyone was brilliant and we had Tot Star Demi Holborn entertaining the crowds.
"It was well worth it. Sparkle is a great cause which will help local people, and Velindre also needs help.
"The helpers on the day were great, and without them it wouldn't have been the success it was."
Mr Probert, from Undy, praised everybody involved, and particularly Tesco, who donated all the burgers, food and drinks for the day.
He said: "I am so pleased with how it went, and even the weather held off for us."
