WALES go into the first of the Battle of Britain clashes tonight (kick off 8pm) knowing that failure to win would be DISASTROUS.
A disappointing 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan on Saturday meant that Mark Hughes' men started their World Cup group six with a whimper but a packed out Millennium Stadium will be rightly expecting three points.
Before Baku, the squad were all in agreement that it was a must win game but this now REALLY is a must win match.
With a trip to Old Trafford to take on England just around the corner, and by that time could well be looking for their first win in the group, losing tonight just does not bear thinking about.
One player who is not contemplating that scenario is Newcastle striker Craig Bellamy.
The explosive hitman will be the player Wales fans will be looking to find the goals to get back on the track for Germany.
He said: "If we can get it right, we will get the three points. It was disappointing in Azerbaijan but we got a point. It could have been worse but we have a chance to put it right.
"I don't want to say that it would all be over after just two games but it has to be three points. Our home form is vital to us if we want to qualify.
"I know Northern Ireland lost 3-0 on Saturday (at home to Poland) but they were quite unlucky, so we know they will be hard to beat.
"But if we go about it right and raise our game to a higher level we have the chance to win it. It would be nice to go ahead and win every game.
"I am not worried about Azerbaijan any more, we got a point. There will be a lot of points won and lost along the way."
In a week when manager Mark Hughes has been linked with another Premiership job the straight-taking frontman admitted that Wales cannot keep their boss for ever.
He said: "It is only a matter of time but hopefully he can go on a high note- after the World Cup and we have qualified.
"He has the quality and is inspirational but I can't see him going anywhere before the end of the qualifiers."
