DEAD Men Walking are Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, Bruce Watson of Big Country, Mike Peters of The Alarm, Kirk Brandon of Spear Of Destiny and Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats.
They have over forty UK Top 30 singles, 20 million record sales worldwide and over twenty Top 20 UK Hit albums between them but these days find safety in numbers.
Throughout September and October they will play a 24-date UK tour which calls on Bristol Academy on Thursday, September 2.
They play a mix of all their back catalogues, stripping the songs back to basics.
Glen Matlock has recently been touring in the USA with the Sex Pistols who some say aren't quite as when they played Newport two days before Christmas in 1977.
Glen also played in The Rich Kids and more recently Glen Matlock and The Philistines as which he releases a new album, On Something, on Monday October 4.
Bruce Watson was a founder member of Big Country and the driving force behind hits such as Chance, Wonderland, Republican Party Reptile and Fragile Thing. Besides platinum-selling albums such as The Crossing and Steeltown, He was also nominated for two Grammies.
Recently Bruce has been working with Bruce Foxton from The Jam, ex-Silencers frontman JJ Gilmour and Big Country drummer Mark Brzezicki in The Casbah Club.
Kirk Brandon is responsible for writing all the seminal Spear Of Destiny songs like Never Take Me Alive, Liberator and Mickey and played bass for Culture Club but fell out with Boy George. His new album Loadestone is to be released in November and will be followed by a series of film noirs that he's making with Simon Neville.
Mike Peters is the Welshman of the band. He was and still is the main man in The Alarm but has also played with Bob Dylan, Neil Young and U2's Bono.
The Alarm had hits with 68 Guns, Rain In The Summertime, Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke? and Absolute Reality. This year they had a chart hit with 45RPM under the pseudonym The Poppy Fields.
Slim Jim Phantom has just finished a month of sold-out European dates with his band The Stray Cats. He is known for a stand-up style of drumming and co-writing some of the Stray Cats best known tracks like Runaway Boys and Rumble In Brighton with guitarist Brian Setzer. Recently he made records with Jerry Lee Lewis and Motorhead's Lemmy.
