LOVING homes are needed for these three puppies, found dumped in a taped-up cardboard box.
The Rottweilers were found by a youngster walking in the Barrack Woods area of Newport, and taken to Summerhill Veterinary Centre.
Natalie Morgan, a veterinary nurse at the centre in Summerhill Avenue, said: "The box was very small. The little girl took them home to her mum and they brought them straight up here."
She believed the pups had been found quite quickly after they were abandoned, and they were in good health.
Ms Morgan said: "They look like pure Rottweilers - they have docked tails - but they could be crosses and that might be why they were dumped."
Good homes are now needed for the dogs, which are believed to be about five or six weeks old, and anyone who is interested should contact Summerhill Veterinary Centre on 01633 255394.
