Newport's Jamie West-acott will be the youngest rider - by four days - competing in the Conference League individual championship at Rye House on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old Westacott, the GMB Mavericks leading rider, pipping the experienced Scott Pegler, is in his first season of Conference riding.
He was born on April 9 while Mildenhall's Lee Smart came into the world on April 5.
Smart earned his place in the field when Boston's 21-year-old Darren Rolf withdrew from the meeting.
Westacott said: "I will be very nervous, but I want to enjoy the meeting and learn from it. So many things have been going on this year between the Great Britain Under-21s and a Premier League outings and this will be another terrific experience.
"There will be times in the the future where I might go there hoping for a rostrum place. But that's way ahead of me and I just hope to learn something from what I do and see on Saturday.
"I've been lucky to have been around the likes of Daniel King and Edward Kennett with the Under-21s and this season is a huge learning curve. I've got lots to learn but when I look at the line-up, a lot of those riders were in my position just a few years ago."
Mavericks Karl Mason, who also rides at reserve for the Wasps, is on stand-by while champion Barrie Evans (Wimbledon) - and Wasps' reserve in the Premier League - defends his title. Chris Schramm, former Newport rider, is representing Oxford and looking for a place on the rostrum.
The Conference championship line-up is: Richard Hall (Boston), David Mason (Weymouth), Matthew Weathers (Armadale), James Wright (Buxton), Steve Boxall (Rye House), Ritchie Hawkins (Mildenhall), Lee Smart (Mildenhall), Dean Felton (Carmarthen), Jamie Westacott (Newport), Chris Schramm (Oxford), Mark Burrows (Wimbledon), Malcolm Holloway (Swindon), Barrie Evans (Wimbledon), Joel Parsons (Rye House), Jamie Robertson (Newcastle), Justin Elkins (Stoke). Reserves: Karl Mason (Newport), Jack Hargreaves (Stoke).
l Sunday's double header will be the last 4pm start of the season, now rapidly approaching the final stages. The September meetings will revert to a 2.30pm start.
Newport, on the Isle of Wight tonight for a Premier League meeting, ride against Sheffield in the Premier League while the Mavericks take on Mildenhall.
Jason Bunyan guests for the injured Sean Wilson while Sheffield will use rider replacement for Andrew Moore.
