GLAMORGAN'S Panteg star David Harrison, pictured, will take the new ball in the county's potential title-winning totesport League clash with Lancashire at Colwyn Bay tomorrow.

The county need just two points - a tie or a no result - to seal the silverware, but are looking to do it in style by beating the Red Rose county on home soil, albeit in North Wales.

But with normal strike bowling pair Michael Kasprowicz and Andrew Davies absent it will be up to Harrison and new boy Mick Lewis to try to make the early inroads.

Kasprowicz has joined up with his Australia team-mates ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy, while Andrew Davies is sidelined with a recurrence of a hip injury.

But though Harrison has only had six outings in the totesport he is relishing the big occasion.

''It's going to be a huge game and I'm not sure how everyone is going to get crammed in such a small ground,'' said 23-year-old Harrison.

''I have no real complaints that I have not played much on a Sunday this season with Michael and Andrew doing so well with the new ball. I have just been grateful that I have gone well in four-day cricket.

''But it's great to get a chance again, and it will be a bit like 2002 when we won the title in Canterbury.

''I'm looking forward to teaming up with Mick Lewis who a couple of the boys told me bowled pretty quickly in the second team game this week.''

Simon Jones is also included in a 13-man squad but is more likely to figure in the Frizzell County Championship match starting against Yorkshire on Tuesday.

Glamorgan include Simon Jones in a squad of 13 after his latest rejection by England. But Jones is more likely to figure in the Frizzell County Championship Division Two clash against Yorkshire starting at Colwyn Bay on Tuesday.

Lancashire will be in confident mood after their demolition of Surrey at Whitgift School last weekend, which included a record partnership in the competition for any Lancashire wicket of 223 between Mark Chilton and Iain Sutcliffe.

At least Glamorgan won't have to contemplate the presence of Andrew Flintoff because he and James Anderson are on Test duty with England. Glamorgan: from M Elliott, R Croft (capt), M Powell, M Maynard, D Hemp, M Wallace, A Dale, D Thomas, A Wharf, D Harrison, M Lewis, S Jones, I Thomas.
