Three Pembrokeshire dairy farmers who tackled the poor milk price head on by developing a new brand of organic milkshake may expand their current flavour range.
Daioni is currently available in chocolate, strawberry and banana flavours, made from the milk produced by the organic milking herd at Ffosyficer Farm, Abercych, and these flavours can be enjoyed by visitors to the County Show.
The three partners, Laurence Harris, Carwyn James and John Morris, launched the product because the return on liquid milk sales was low.
The milkshakes have been a hit and are available in secondary schools in Pembrokeshire and south Wales and in retail outlets across Wales, England and southern Ireland.
Laurence Harris, pictured, who was born and brought up on a farm, said nearly 1million litres of the 1.8million litre quota produced by his 300-head mixed dairy herd was now processed into milkshakes.
