The inimitable John Parker with his impressive stage coach and greys has become a traditional part of the programme at the County Show.

Fresh from their regular appearances at The Royal Welsh, their pre-show visit to the town centre, carrying show officials and civic dignitaries, is an eagerly anticipated preliminary to the three-day show. The coach and horses should be at the Castle Square, Haverfordwest at noon on Monday.

A colourful reminder that the show is about to start, the magnificent stage coach with its regal quartet of greys and the impertubable John Parker in the driving seat, look completely at home in the centre of the old town. And during the show it makes an imposing sight as it parades round the Main Ring, its expert driver revealing some of the secrets of how such a powerful example of historic thoroughbred horsepower is controlled by means of spoken commands and deft manipulation of four pairs of reins.
