RUGBY fans had the chance to meet the Newport Gwent Dragons and enjoy a fun day out yesterday.
The grey, dark miserable day didn't dampen the spirits of more than 2,000 visitors who tried out their rugby skills and a host of other games at Rodney Parade, Newport.
The pre-season family fun day was a perfect chance for the fans to meet the stars.
Team mascots Rodney the Dragon and Newport RFC's Tommy the Tiger were also there to greet visitors.
A club spokesman said: "It was a really good atmosphere, despite the rain, and the rugby players were busy signing their autographs and having fun meeting their fans. A great day all around."
