TO coincide with the 25th anniversary of the cult film Quadrophenia, whose famous Brighton beach-front battle scenes between Mods and Rockers earned the Vespa PX a place in movie history, Piaggio announces the arrival of the new Vespa PX 150cc.
The Vespa PX, which was introduced in 1977 as a radically different Vespa model for its day, with a modern design and avant-garde technology, became synonymous with the culture of the Mods and Rockers in the late 1970s.
Having sold over two million units, today the Vespa PX utilises a modern and reliable two-stroke engine, a powerful disc braking system and the traditional four-speed manual gearbox which has made it an iconic scooter.
The elegant, minimal design, hardy steel frame and space to carry a spare wheel have made it a symbol of Italian style everywhere in the world.
The 150cc displacement Vespa PX is available now from Piaggio dealers nationwide from mid-June in a choice of black and excalibur silver paintwork and is priced at £2,199.
