If you are you a fan of Ready Steady Cook then the cookery programme at this years Big Cheese is for you.
Caerphilly will host a Welsh Food Market and cookery demonstrations from a number of well-known chefs from the Welsh Culinary Food Team.

Speedy Cooks
This consists of three cooks, one of which will be sent to Speed shop against the clock. The chosen cook will collect a variety of ingredients from producers at the festival which will be shared out. The cooks will decide what they are going to cook and will have 20 minutes to complete their masterpiece. The audience will then decide the winner, and winners of the culinary draw will be invited to eat the dishes at the 'Great Taste table'.
Copy Cat Cooks

Big Cheese Extravaganza
Cheese master class, including a simple cheese making demonstration, and then an audience participation tasting session. Seven cheeses will be tasted, then the audience participants will choose their favourite cheese by depositing the name in the appropriate cheese bin. On Sunday afternoon the Big Cheese Winner will be announced. Healthy Hearts and Food Bingo
Two cooks create healthy dishes in minutes. Adding to the pressure will be a fitness whistle blower putting the cooks through various exercise activities aimed at burning up the calories and working up an appetite.
The Great Taste Table
As the audience take their seats they get given a raffle ticket. Once a dish is finished by one of the chefs a ticket will be drawn and the winner gets to enjoy the whole dish by themselves or with help from friends!
