Michael Kasprowicz, pictured below, believes David Harrison is one of the best young cricketer's he has ever seen.

The Glamorgan paceman is convinced that Harrison is a special talent with a big future ahead of him.

"I think Dave Harrison is the perfect young cricketer," Kasprowicz told the South Wales Argus.

"I have been impressed with his bowling all summer-he hits the deck hard and take wickets."

"I think he can develop into a genuine all rounder and score 1000 runs in a county season.

"I don't want to put any labels on Dave and say he is going to play for England very soon, but I think he is a good package and can go all the way to the top."

Harrison is Glamorgan's leading wicket taker and player of the year, in the County Championship this season with 37 wickets at 23.32. He took a career best 5-48 against Somerset as well as two more 'five-fors' against Essex and Durham.

The former England skipper Nasser Hussain and Test new boy Andrew Strauss have been two of the Panteg product's most prized scalps.

Kasprowicz also tips Mike Powell to make his mark at international level.

The hard hitting right hander is one of the most gifted stroke makers in county cricket and was recently drafted into the provisional 30 man England squad for the ICC trophy tournament in September.

This summer Powell has cracked over 600 runs at 43.78 in the County Championship with an unbeaten hundred against Durham and five fifties.

Kasprowicz believes that the 27-year-old deserves his chance for international honours.

"Mike is a very talented batsman-I have said that for a while now.

"He is good enough to play for England and has been one of Glamorgan's best batsmen for a few years," Kasprowicz said.

As for his own form, the 32-year-old Kasprowicz is enjoying a stunning resurgence as a first choice member of Australia's pace attack in Test and one-day international cricket.

His 7-39 in Sri Lanka's second innings at Darwin-a fortnight ago-was the big Queenslander's best Test bowling performance and first five-wicket haul since Bangalore in 1998. His priority before the start of the ICC Trophy is to help Glamorgan secure promotion to the First Division of the County Championship.

"The future is looking good at Sophia Gardens and I want to be a part of that for as long as I can," Kasprowicz said.
