This year's Big Cheese Festival promises to be the biggest and best yet.
The event is fast becoming one of the most important festivals taking place in South Wales and we are expecting more than 80,000 people to descend on Caerphilly to enjoy the wide variety of attractions on offer. The Big Cheese offers something for everyone - ranging from the fascinating living history encampments to the thrills and spills of the white knuckle rides at the funfair. These rides are set to be the most exciting yet with the first time in Wales for the Magic Mouse Roller Coaster and Wild Water Rapids.
The Big Cheese has gone from strength to strength and visitors from across Wales, the UK and further afield flock to the event which, for the first time this year, allows access to the grounds of the magnificent Caerphilly Castle.
I hope that you and your family enjoy this festival and remind you that the Council's other major event The Big Balloon takes place at Blackwood between the 28th - 30th August (Bank Holiday)
