PUPILS at a Newport school were able to unmask their talents during a visit by artist Patricia Clifford.
Mrs Clifford, of Newport, worked with Year 9 pupils at St Julians High as part of the Big Arts week.
She helped the youngsters turn ordinary corrugated cardboard into some magni-ficent masks.
Art teacher Tracy Short said Mrs Clifford had worked with about 50 pupils who intend to take art at GCSE.
"The masks were great," she said.
"The pupils could do anything, but they did get very tribal. They really enjoyed it."
Mrs Clifford works in a variety of media and is well-known for recycling materials into respected artworks.
