AN OPTICIAN'S had a special visitor to mark a new charity link-up - a guide dog for the blind.
June the dog paid a visit to the Specsavers store in Newport to mark a national campaign to raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The store is taking part in a special month of fundraising to raise money for the charity.
They will donate 10p from every eye examination undertaken in July to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The store will also be collecting used postage stamps which can be turned into cash for charity.
Jason Williams, store director at Newport, says: "We are delighted to be able to support this worthwhile charity which carries out invaluable work within the local community.
"Many of us take our eyesight for granted but a lot of people don't have that luxury."
