THE Maesteg boys in The Next Nine Years return to Wales to play three shows around the release of their debut single next month.
The full-voiced rock band can be found in Blackwood Miners' Institute on Friday, June 11, Clwb Ifor Bach on Monday, June 21, and Barfly, Cardiff, on Saturday, July 10.
They release the double A-side You Live, I Learn/(So Bask in Your Glory While You Still Can Because) This Is You Last Song on Monday, June 7.
Drawing inspiration from At the Drive In to Idlewild to The Smiths and Michael Jackson, the band's combination of explosive noise and haunting melodies has already made them a band to watch.
After a residency at the Tollhouse, Bridgend, a show for Radio One and a live session recorded at Rockfield for Evening Session in Wales, the band came to the attention of MTV, who wanted them for their Breakin' Point talent show.
But rather than sell out they said no, and have continued to do it their way.
