CITROEN has teamed up with Ministry of Sound - leaders on world dance music and youth culture - to introduce the loudest and funkiest C2 models so far. The two pumping versions of the sporty VTR and Furio models, featuring state-of-the-art sound systems and their own Ministry of Sound styling treatment, will hit the UK's streets from June 1.
Appealing directly to the youth end of the market, just 2,000 C2 Ministry of Sound special edition models are available, all featuring Sony's latest Xplod MP3/CD player. Offering crisp, clear sound, this powerful head unit delivers far more power (max 200W) to the upgraded speakers than a standard system and features a detachable aluminium front panel with new 'Motion Blade' design.
Thanks to the system's in-built MP3 player, C2 music lovers can playback their favourite digitally-downloaded tracks, while new 'Sub Switch' technology allows subwoofers to be added and controlled from the head unit. The system is rigged up to six uprated speakers which, thanks to their two-way design, provide a much clearer and more defined sound that will blast away the competition.
The Ministry of Sound logo is probably the most recognised logo of its kind in the world, so there's no mistaking the subtle interior styling enhancements, such as the branded speakers, door sills and CD holder below the new Sony head unit, as well as an aluminium effect finish to the air vent and fascia surrounds. Outside, in addition to the familiar bold lines of the C2, a smart chrome Ministry of Sound badge adorns the rear.
