FUNDRAISERS got on their bikes to raise money for Cancer Research UK this weekend.
More than 200 people of all ages set off on the Get On Your Bike Ride from Tredegar House, Newport, in glorious sunshine.
Karen Davis, from Cancer Research UK, was delighted with the turnout.
She said: "It is absolutely fantastic. We had a lot of people come from the Newport area and a lot of people have travelled.
"There is a mixture of ages, it is very much a family event with youngsters coming along with mums and dads or brothers and sisters.
"It is a good event with people cycling in memory of and in celebration of loved ones and helping to raise money."
The fastest riders finished in 40 to 45 minutes while others took up to two hours to finish the 15-mile course.
The event was on target to collect £15,000 to boost the charity coffers.
Liz Price, 35, from New Inn, and her seven-year-old daughter, Helen, both took part.
Mrs Price said: "I had a cancer scare about 18 months ago, thankfully everything was okay but we do a lot of cycling so I thought it was appropriate to raise money for Cancer Research.
"It was a beautiful day and a lovely ride."
Mum and daughter trained for the ride by cycling 14 miles up to Goytre Wharf and back.
Robert Beech, 39, geared up for the ride with his 11-year-old daughter, Amy. Mr Beech, from Bassaleg, said: "It is a good cause and it was a good day."
