GLAMORGAN skipper Robert Croft admits Lancashire are the biggest danger to his side recapturing the National League title this season.

The sides, both unbeaten in the league so far, clash at Old Trafford on Sunday with the outcome already sure to play a big part in where the trophy ends.

Glamorgan have won all four games to date in a canter, thanks largely to the form of Australian opener Matthew Elliott, while Lancashire have won three with one game rained off.

Success on Sunday will take Glamorgan six points clear while a Lancashire win will take them top, so the game's importance is vital. Asked if he felt Lancashire were his side's biggest rivals, Croft smiled and gave a one-word answer - 'yes'.

He then added: "I'd be trying to fool you if I said no because if you look at their side you can see it is full of dangerous players.

"But we have beaten their team of stars before and we'll beat them again. Let's hope it's on Sunday."

He added: "The key thing now is that players don't get bored with winning. Sometimes you can get a little bit complacent. We have to make sure our enthusiasm stays sky high."

Croft believes complacency played a key role last season when Glamorgan lost the title after winning it the previous season despite winning their first five games.

"The thing is in this competition, anybody can beat anybody, we know that. "The standard within each team is high and every team has got match winners.

"But what we have to realise and do realise is that it's 11 against 11.

"We're playing well as a team and week in, week out there are different people contributing, so we will go into Sunday's game full of confidence," he concluded.

Lancashire's team contains one-day match-winners in Australian Stuart Law, soon to qualify for England by residence, and West Indian Carl Hooper, both former Test stars.

New signing Dominic Cork can also be a match-winner with bat and ball and Mal Loye too has been a thorn in Glamorgan's side in the past.

But at least Lancashire will be without current England Test pair Andrew Flintoff and James Anderson.

Glamorgan will field their usual one-day line-up, namely Elliott, Croft, Wharf, Powell, Maynard, Hemp, Dale, Wallace, Thomas (D), Davies, Harrison, Cosker
