FAMILY-run Gwent business Penhow Nursery is hoping for horticultural success once again in this year's Royal Chelsea Flower Show.
The nursery, which has already won three gold medals in previous visits to the horticultural world's toughest competition, will again be taking part.
This year father and son Jimmy and David Jones will be showing a new plant developed at their nursery and being given its first public showing.
David Jones said: "We aim to breed new varieties of flowers."
The nursery based at Netherwent, Cadlicot, sells its plants world-wide.
"We sell, on average, more than five million all over the world, from America, Australia to Germany and Japan," said Mr Jones, who has developed a new type of Diascia named Dragon's Breath.
Father Jimmy's horticultural talents have blossomed since leaving his job as a crane driver at Newport's Llanwern Steelworks more than 17 years ago.
"It's hard work, we have been growing new plants since November and the stall will take two days to set up but it's worth getting everything just right," said Mr Jones.
"Winning the Chelsea Show gives a prestige that cannot be matched by any other show," he added.
The show runs from May 25-28 at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London, and attracts thousands of visitors from across the world to see the gardens created by leading designers.
