CITROEN'S presence at this year's Motor Show Live at the Birmingham NEC (May 25 to June 6) goes way beyond the firm's packed stand, with the 'C2 Crew' and unique version of the C2 GT playing a major role in Motropolis - a spectacular show at the Live Action Arena, where the cars are the stars in a futuristic battle of good versus evil.
The C2 GT, recently named Top Gear Magazines best ot hatch, is the car of choice for a young band of rebellious motoring freedom fighters - the 'C2 Crew' - who perform in an exciting event rammed full of car stunts, skateboards and BMX riders, with the star turn being provided by the appearance of a stunningly modified version.
Whilst not for sale, this one-off C2 GT is guaranteed to turn heads with its massive 18-inch Titanium finish alloys, twin stainless steel tailpipes and a full-on bodykit that includes a twin style rear spoiler. Maximum road presence is further assured by the lowered suspension, impressive GT decals, tinted windows and an underbody neon lighting system, while performance gets a hike by around 10hp as well.
To keep the blood flowing, the Citroen stand (Hall 5) will give UK show-goers their first chance to catch a glimpse of the awesome 225hp C2 Super 1600, just as it embarks on its first season of competitive motorsport. The World Rally Championship winning Xsara WRC will also be present - after a successful first outing in the WRC last year it continues to be finely placed in this year's title fight.
