THE Cwmbran-based Sunnyland company is a new, family-run business that has been trading for just seven weeks - but has been thoroughly researched and planned for over a year.

Sunnyland is based around timber construction, which they produce in a wide variety of styles and includes the building of sheds, summer homes and fencing.

They use top quality hand selected materials for all their various projects. They've also undertaken tasks to construct specialist items in various shapes and sizes that have included dog kennels, rabbit hutches and even a pigeon coupe.

The family-run firm has been financed by Malcolm Hailey and his wife Carol from the proceeds of selling the property management company that they owned in Scotland.

The couple, originally from Cwmbran, returned to the area and set up the company which also employs Malcolm's brothers Peter and Paul and son David while Michelle Barry carries out the office administration.

Malcolm's aim is to make it a successful company for many generations to come.

He said: "Peter has been involved within the timber construction industry for some time and combined with my son David's enthusiasm it give me great hopes for the future."
